I’ve come across some great glitch-hop artists and I’e come across some great funk artists but none combine them better then this guy right here. My Artist of the Week has got to be Stickybuds. Stickybuds manages to combine raw glitchy sounds with upbeat lyrics and old familiar samples into a monster tune that can get any crowd going. A bit of his bio reads:
From the funkafied west coast of Canada, Stickybuds has been making his mark on music all over the globe. In the last few years he’s found himself performing in 14 different countries, captivating fans wherever he goes. His work ethic and passion have also earned him a residency at Canada’s Shambhala music festival (2005 – 2012), as well as performances at Glastonbury (UK), Splore Festival (NZ), Burning Man (USA) and the legendary Space club in Ibiza (ES).
With 20 releases on multiple labels, Sticky loves to create and play dance floor friendly music of many different tempo’s. His sets are filled with Funk, DNB, Glitch Hop, Reggae and Breaks all intricately woven through countless hours in the studio.
Stickybuds is definitelyone of my top favorite Canadian DJs. Wish I weren’t on the other side of the country haha. Anyways enough of me heres some recent tunes of his and his Fractal Forest Mix from Shambhala 2012. Enjoy!

Look Its Justin Timberlake OMGOMGOMG!!!! Here is my second mash of the day: You’re My Excuse (WellSaid & Rubberteeth Remix) + Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake
BOOBS!!!! Now that I’ve got your attention! Here’s a my vocal edit of My Humps By The Black Eyed Peas and Brad Smit’s Bass Face!!! This was recorded live in real time by the way! Enjoy!
In my scour tonight I decided to look for some fun, upbeat fucky/ elctro house and this is what I have found ! Disco Fries are just plain awesome! All of their tunes do a pretty good job of getting me movin’.
The Disco Fries are a multi-platinum production duo who have wrote and remixed tracks for Pitbull, Steve Aoki, Flo Rida, Tommie Sunshine, Armand Van Helden, Clinton Sparks and Katy Perry, to name a few. The duo is an integral part of helping to bridge the gap between EDM and the Top 40 world in their productions. Catch the Disco Fries touring globally while holding a residencies at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Lava Nightclub at Turning Stone & with Tommie Sunshine at Pacha NYC for their “Fries & Shine” events.
Don’t let me down is a straight up bangin ‘ electro tune that gets you right up off your seat! They’re like the ketchup to my fries haha
Silhouettes is another great electro tune with some awesome vocals!
Here’s a bit if funk-y business to throw into the mix!!!!
What can i say they’re diso fries!
This Launchpad Original performance by M4SONIC is just bangin’ and its all played live! excellent chune!
Just came across this absolutely foolish 5 minute mini mix Loadstar did up for BBC Radio 1. They manage to combine about 20 raging songs all into one short little 5 minute mix! Thats some cray shit right there! On top of that they throw in some of there own originals and some other really great and even familiar vocals. Challenge: See if you can pick out all of the songs!
Here’s a cool old school sounding disco house tune I just came across. Its fresh off the press and sounds awesome! You can hear some real instruments in there too if you listen real hard. 😉
Here it is folks! Hardwell’s 2012 Year Mix! This mix came out only a day ago and has already had about 60,000 hits on SoundCloud alone! Enjoy!
Came across another heavy trap song in my song scour recently. Very clean tune with huge bass synths and a lot of Big Booty!
This is one badass trap chune right here!!! Clancys` got my number one pick of the week right here. Butch bass-lines and intricate snare rhythms pieced together with chopped up lyrics and a variety of some pretty cool synths make up a very delish tune! Enjoy!
Looks like reality TV is invading the EDM world… not sure how I feel about this really lol.
Remember Simon Cowell’s idea for a dance music reality TV show a little while back? He thankfully scrapped plans for such a show but now casting is open for an “Electronic Dance Music reality/competition show”….

So I was browsing through Facebook the other day and found a note/ status update left by 21 year old producer Deorro for his fans. It turns out he and the Panda Funk Team will be offering online lessons and tips on producing music…
Producers, I apologize for the absence of me on soundcloud. I know I used to reply and help out by giving tips and training many of you, I don’t want to let that go. For those in the LA area, ill be doing personal training, where I can help you in the studio. And finally, I know many of you have been asking for tutorials, that’s finally ready to go. So hang in there guys. Oh and one last thing, whether you’re still trying to figure out which program to start on, or how to get that final touch to a pro track, ill help you 🙂 no matter where you’re at in your career. Ill try my best! So get ready PandaFam, 2013 will be on and cracking!
